SUBJECT: Romford League News from Ricey ! POSTED: 26/06/09 @ 03:46 PM
Congratulations to Upminster "A" who despite being relegated to the Premier Division last season, were awarded The winners of the Senior Division Fair Play League and also overall winners of the Most Sporting Club by our Referee friends. Very well done boys and I have to say that this is testament to the ideaologies of Tony, Gerry and Mike. We may have been outplayed on the pitch but we did do it with a smile and gracious behaviour. By the way it also won the Club Fifty Pounds.

The Romford and District Leagues were constituted on Wednesday night and the "A" team have been placed in the Premier Division whilst the "B" team has been resurrected under the management of Mark Dunnage and begin life in Division Three. Good luck to Mark in his new role and to the boys of the "A" team who will be looking to bounce back from last years traumas. I am going to miss you all but I will be back as an official of the League to check your I D cards !!

SUBJECT: NEXT SEASON 2009 - 2010 POSTED: 13/06/09 @ 10:26 AM
The 1sts have been placed in the new Division 4 for next season along with 11 others. For the full constitution follow the link to the EOL site.
Three new teams have been placed above us in Division 3 and there is no appeal. These teams are Reserves from "Senior" sides and include Romford Reserves.
This is very disappointing for Bob and the boys but teams who finished above us in the league last season have suffered the same fate.
Lets go out and win it.
There are still only 3 Reserves Divisions. Let's make it a double Championship season.
Training starts soon - goodness - did we have a break?
